Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment A1 Course uses observation, examination of work products, and conversation to assess the demonstration of competence in the workplace. This is a 9-Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) qualification that was previously known as the A1 Assessor course. Level 3 Assessing Competence is for practitioners who assess the demonstration of competence in the workplace using the following assessment methods: observation, examination of work products, oral questioning and discussion, use of witnesses, learner statements, and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
Who is this course for?
This qualification will train assessors and those who will be conducting assessments in the classroom or at work. In addition, this course is designed for those who assist learners with assessment and training. Hairdressing, Beauty Industry & Make-Up, Construction, Electrical Industry, Food Safety, Early Years, Apprenticeships, Health & Social Care, and Educational Sectors are among the industries that can benefit from this qualification. Candidates who complete the course successfully receive a nationally recognized qualification that allows them to conduct workplace assessments and assessments for vocational programs in colleges and schools.
Requirements
There are no specific requirements for this course; students should be working in, or aspiring to, quality assurance. The theory-based credentials provide a solid foundation for those seeking to work in quality assurance. Candidates must have access to two learners in order to complete the full Award.
